About the position:
This position is assigned to the Bowling facility of the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight, MacDill AFB, FL.
Assists management in the economic and efficient operation of the Bowling Center by coordinating league/tournament participation and instruction ABC, WIBC, and YABA rules, regulations, and the proper equipment function. Leads work of Recreation Aids and Assistants in the performance of daily duties to include cash handling/nightly close out procedures. Performs a wide variety of complex clerical and administrative duties. Responsible for the preparation and control of daily reports, to include preparation of nightly deposits, supporting paperwork, opening and closing procedures. Assists in all marketing and publicity to include development of new programs and events. Responsible for the coordination of all league and open play. May be required to schedule and administer these activities in the capacity of league secretary or tournament director. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Demonstrates and instructs participants on the proper use of equipment and provides guidance and instruction on bowling techniques. Conducts monthly pro shop inventory, maintenance inventory, or equipment asset inventory as required. Assists with customer service counter. Corrects pinsetter malfunctions in absence of maintenance technicians. Schedules lanes for special function usage. Provides customer information on programs and procedures in the Bowling Center. Coordinates and directs the planning, organizing, and implementation of professionally managed bowling tournaments and leagues. Applies and enforces United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Women's bowling, and Youth bowling rules of play and provide information on scoring and awards. Assists with the pre-tournament publicity, registration and fee structure, including food and beverage, entertainment, and awards presentation. Provides pro shop with coaching assistance as needed, primarily with Youth bowling programs. Assists customers with product selection and purchases of pro shop merchandise and Bowling Center rental equipment. Prepares daily cashier activity reports, bank deposits, sales inventories, and any other administrative work required for the daily operations of the Bowling Center. Completes daily, monthly, and annual reports. Answers the phones and provides routine information pertaining to the current bowling programs. Responsible for the resale inventory and fixed asset inventory. Prepares and monitors all spreadsheets for special events, squadron functions, birthday parties and makes sure payments are timely. Assists supervisor with budget preparation and financial analysis. Performs general housekeeping duties in the bowling center.
