As a SECURITY SPECIALIST (UNIT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER) (Title 32), GS-0080-9, you will manage deployment and logistical assets to ensure productive and effective utilization of materiel funding and requirements for all Security Forces tasks and responsibilities.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts for the Security Unit Deployment Manager discipline; must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures; practical understanding, specialized skills, and fundamental knowledge of the following programs: security police; information security; sensitive compartmental information; special security requirements; force protection; anti-terrorism; information protection; security police training, unit deployment, and physical security; security policies, guiding principles, training requirements, and certification; expanded security clearances, an extensive knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations and procedures governing a distinct set of operational duties and responsibilities for performing security functions and handling weapons. All Series GS-0080 personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Level- Must possess specialized experience which includes at least 12 months experience directing, obtaining, maintaining, or providing for proper usage of Security Forces equipment in order to meet unit objectives; tracking operational and performance data on tools and equipment; repairing and calibrating tools and equipment; performing liaison duties with US Army, Air Force, and other federal agencies to ensure proper acquisition, use, and maintenance of major equipment items; developing plans for the use of physical security equipment; implementing Department of Defense, US Army, or US Air Force policies and plans; coordinating and monitoring short and long term equipment requirements; preparing requests for security equipment, determining needs and justifications, reviewing appropriate directives and other source material, and preparing any required forms; preparing briefings through the review of resources management reports and inventories; preparing requisitions for supplies, materials, equipment, and services; monitoring source allowances, validating requests, and processing documentation to procure equipment; utilizing all available resources to ensure appropriate items and supplies are ordered; managing cost data; researching information that pertains to complex and unusual supplies, parts, and transactions; analysis of past utilization of supplies and other materials to identify and determine future requirements; managing and directing programs in support of Security Forces deployment requirements; serving as the primary point of contact between deployment work centers for deployable assets; determining currency of shelf life deployable items; compiling readiness status reports; coordinating the movement of equipment and material by various transportation modes and/or equipment to ensure proper storage, labels, and disposal procedures; performing and enforcing Security Forces duties, that may have included apprehending and detaining violators of laws, rules, and regulations and turning these violators over to the Federal or civil police or other law enforcement officers for arrest and posting of collateral.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.
