As a region-based inspector, you will inspect and evaluate the effectiveness of licensee health physics performance; radiological monitoring, remediation, and waste transportation; facility and equipment material condition; conformance with NRC regulations and industry standards; and a wide variety of operational, maintenance and engineering activities at decommissioning reactor facilities or Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations. You will resolve complex technical safety issues; participate in communication and out-reach initiatives involving licensees, the public, and Federal, state, and local officials; and perform reactive inspections and assessments in response to events at these facilities.
50% or less - Generally, up to 30% travel is required.
