This position is located in the Aquatic branch, Recreation Division, Recreation Services Department of the U.S Naval support activity, Naples, Italy. The incumbent serves as a lifeguard at NAVSUPPACT swimming pools and is responsible for ensuring patron safety and maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and its environments.

The incumbent instructs, safeguards and supervises swimmers and bathers in pool areas, and enforces swimming and bathing regulations.
Continuously observes patrons, warns swimmers of unsafe conditions and actions; rescues those in trouble and administers emergency first aid if necessary.
Rescues swimmers in trouble and promptly administers emergency first aid as needed. Calls for medical assistance when needed.
Maintains cleanliness and safety equipment. Alerts supervisor to problems or discrepancies with pool or equipment.
Six months experience as a pool lifeguard preferred. Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification as a lifeguard as well as basic first aid and CPR certification.
To receive credit for education above high school and training YOU MUST ATTACH copies of transcripts, certificates, or other acceptable evidence to your application.
