    Summary

    As a Management & Program Analyst, you will:

    Work directly with Program Managers, Operations Supervisor and the Office Director to improve the management and effectiveness of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) R&D programs, and carry out and improve the operations and execution of those programs.

    Responsibilities

    As a Management and Program Analyst GS-12, you will:

    • Serve as advisor to the Water Power Technologies Office's Operations Supervisor in executing multiple aspects of strategic planning; operational planning/programming; internal and external budget/finance; human resources, workforce management, and planning; and other administrative duties.
    • Provide recommendations on broad policy, program and human resource matters affecting programs and operations.
    • Support visioning, strategic and business planning, goal-setting, performance indicators, quality/efficiency, and organizational performance management while ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, values, and goals of EERE.
    • Facilitate the National Laboratory Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process across office leaders. Will work with staff and management to develop efficient and effective laboratory management and coordination best practices.
    • Support the WPTO Operations Supervisor in tracking laboratory and project spend plans to ensure efficient use of funds. Oversee other projects as assigned.
    • When within control of the Operations Manager, ensures consistent, timely, and accurate responses to information and communications requests from internal and external sources, such as quick-turnaround EERE or DOE information management requests as well as media or public inquires.
    • Draft responses to informational requests of an operational nature, including responses to IG/GAO reports, program status briefings, and other internal requests.
    • Support Program supervisors in providing management and administrative guidance to field offices and National Laboratories on EERE requirements as assigned.
    • Contribute to improvements in team work processes and methods to deliver better and more cost-effective results to customers.
    • Participate in measuring and evaluating quality of products, services, and uses findings to generate new ideas and solve problems.
