At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Examine and evaluate scientific data and/or pesticide-based studies and all collateral information to produce written reviews consistent with project-specific statutory deadlines under the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIRFA);
- Write detailed scientific evaluations related to impacts of pesticide usage, which include protocols for product performance testing and product labeling guidelines;
- Conduct exposure analysis to support the pesticide risk assessment and risk management decisions under PRIA and FIFRA. Provide recommendations to resolve problems which may have significant impact on private industries;
- Research, interpret, analyze and apply federal laws and agency regulations which form the regulatory framework for pesticide usage.

You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
