    Summary

    You will serve as a Supervisory Health Physicist in the Radiation Health Division, Radiological Control Office of PSNS and IMF.

    Responsibilities

    • You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Radiation Health Division training program, and managing the program to support the Shipyards radiological emergency medical response plan.
    • You will conduct radiation protection surveys of buildings and facilities containing known, or potential, sources of ionizing radiation.
    • You will research and develop Health Physics applications applied to the radiation protection program.
    • You will evaluate facility design for adequacy of protection of personnel and for assuring that exposure to personnel is as low as reasonably achievable.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
