To be eligible for this pathways position you must:
- Be enrolled in a degree seeking program
- Be enrolled on one half (1/2) time basis
- Have a minimum 2.0 grade average
- Attending an accredited education institution
- Provide transcripts with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
- Be enrolled for the next semester/quarter following the period of this vacancy.
SCREEN OUT:
Perform simple and routine maintenance worker tasks in all of the following trades: minor carpentry work on interior and exterior of buildings, trail and grounds maintenance, general plumbing, minor painting, and
vehicle operation. Have performed these duties with own initiative with only general supervision subject to occasional inspection. Occasionally serve as a sub-foreman. Able to troubleshoot and take initiative to solve problems and accomplish work assignments in a safe manner. Have knowledge of a variety of, tools, and equipment in more than one of the trades listed above. Possess a strong work ethic, dexterity and able to perform strenuous work as required by the position. Possess the ability to use a computer, maintain records, and perform simple arithmetic calculations. Perform these duties as an expert with a high degree of independence. Previous supervisor assigned work orally, through work orders, or with written specifications as to what needed to be done. Work experience was checked to see that it met compliance with work and safety standards and policies.
