This position is located with the Incident Management Team (IMT). The mission is to effectively and efficiently manage the deployed resources in the field and to coordinate the activities of those resources to ensure successful completion of assigned missions. The IMT is activated when federal health service/missions are assigned in support of federal, state, local, territorial, and tribal requests for support during potential or actual natural or man-made emergencies, incidents, or National Special Security Events (NSSE). The IMT is scalable and may be tailored to meet the needs of the disasters, emergencies, incidents, or events. The IMT can respond with a short activation notice, deploy in support of response operations by rapidly establishing operating capability and assume control over public health and medical resources activated.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for tracking and addressing all Requests for Information (RFI), monitoring Information Management email inboxes, and coordinating with other Incident Management Team (IMT) sections to collect, analyze, and synthesize critical incident information.
Produces situation reports, and other products as requested by the IMT to meet mission requirements.
Works closely with Planning Section to gather and provide information for the development of the IMT Incident Action Plan (IAP).
Maintains daily records for use by IMT's Command and General staff, including action plan, situation reports, and activity logs, and ensures that team members stay informed of mission objectives and status changes.
This position does not have an education requirement.
