    This is an interdisciplinary General Engineer/Physical Scientist, GS-0801/1301-14.   This is an announcement to be considered for a promotion through the RGEG process.

    Responsibilities

    As an Interdisciplinary General Engineer or Physical Scientist, upon selection and placement you will:

    • Serve as a recognized expert sought out by colleagues who themselves are experts in their own fields. 

    • Provide technical guidance or independently conduct exceptionally difficult research in attacking critical problems.

    • Conduct research and obtain results that are often significant documentable modifications of existing theories or current technology and are reported through publications and presentations that answer important questions in energy and fossil energy.

    • Conceive, formulate, plan, and conduct research focused on the investigation of difficult scientific challenges The final classification of this position is determined by needs of the organization upon selection.
