    This position is located in the Range Management Research Unit in Las Cruces, NM.

    The position is part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and land managers committed to increasing the ability of scientists and land managers to collect, analyze, interpret and share data, information and knowledge to support sustainable land management.

    This is a term, time-limited appointment with an initial duration no less than 13 months and can be extended up to a total of 4 years.

    • Develop mobile and web-apps for data collection and interpretation, and for accessing knowledge relevant to local land management.
    • Design web pages, in consultation with scientists, to communicate complex scientific results regarding vegetation or soil research and to make data products available to users.
    • Use Javascript, Python, CSS, ReactJS, JSON, JQuery, Bootstrap, and Angular 2+ for web-based applications or website development.
    • Provide guidance and assistance in organizing, analyzing, locating and evaluating a wide variety of biophysical and geographical information regarding vegetation or soil data.
