This position will be embedded in an interdisciplinary team of scientists & land managers to improve & increase the accessibility of rangeland monitoring data, analysis tools, & decision support frameworks.
This is a term, time-limited appointment with an initial duration no less than 13 months and can be extended up to a total of 4 years.
- Provide guidance and assistance in organizing, analyzing, locating and evaluating a wide variety of biophysical and geographical information regarding vegetation or soil data.
- Develop web-based tools, mobile and web-applications for ecological or biological data.
- Design web pages, in consultation with scientists, to communicate complex scientific results regarding vegetation and soil research and to make data products available to users.
- Coordinate with scientists and stakeholders for effective direction of database development.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
