    This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

    About the Position: This is a developmental position; but may be selected at the 7, 9 or 11 grade level.

    • Complete hydrologic and hydraulic engineering studies such as Dam Safety Modification Studies, Issue Evaluation Studies, Periodic Assessments, Periodic Inspections, Risk Assessments, Engineering Investigations, and Research.
    • Perform sediment surveys pertaining to sediment accumulation and movement in District Lakes, including the effects of sediment due to land use changes.
    • Perform water resource/optimization studies required in the design and analysis of multipurpose projects including flood control, water supply, water quality, recreation and power projects.
    • Utilize GIS and CADD applications to aid in the design and analysis of hydrologic and hydraulic studies.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business Travel up to 20 Percent
