If selected you will serve as the Budget and Program Control Branch Manager. You will be responsible for the management of EPMS contracts, management and reporting on the overall EPMS budget to include the tracking of customer External Funding Agreements/Project Level Agreements; and manage the capacity planning and resource management efforts within EPMS specifically and assisting with the implementation of capacity and resource management processes and tools across AIT. You will develop system requirements and ensure financial management tracking capabilities are deployed within the EPMS project management systems and make recommendations for integrations with other financial IT systems to give EPMS a total picture of IT spending. You will develop oversight of EPMS IT project management contracts; and provide oversight of the cost estimation function for EPMS, ensuring that IT project/capability implementation costs are defensible and accurate. You will be responsible for the management of Capital Planning and Investment Control service operations working with partners and investment stakeholders across the FAA to insure IT portfolio of investments meet CPIC requirements, including Agency IT Portfolio Summary (IPS), Agency Cloud Spending Summary (CSS), Major IT Business Case (MITBC) and Major IT Business Case Detail (MITBCD).. You will be responsible for the IT portfolio of investments to meet CPIC requirements, including Agency IT Portfolio Summary (IPS), Agency Cloud Spending Summary (CSS), Major IT Business Case (MITBC) and Major IT Business Case Detail (MITBCD).
In addition, you will be responsible for: 1) Setting priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities; 2) Monitoring and evaluating performance of organizational units and employees; 3) Coaching and developing staff and organizational capabilities; 4) Approving leave and taking or approving corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate; 5) Participating in planning efforts crossing organizational lines within the office of Information Technology and working with senior management to identify and jointly solve problems; and 6) Managing the budget and resources of the branch. 7) The person in this position will also perform multiple, varying and complex assignments under the direction of a manager. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.
