    This Direct-Hire position is in the Food and Drug Administration and is located in the Office of Regulatory Affairs, Division of Human and Animal Food Operations, which is responsible for a host of activities as they related to the nations' domestically produced and imported human and animal foods and cosmetics.

    • Serves as a point of contact for all emergency coordination activities and during emergencies functions as the office?s federal, primary point of contact for local and state governments and private industry.
    • Provides advice, guidance, and direction to management in developing, recommending, and implementing emergency response policies and procedures for the assignment area.
    • Provides oral and written recommendations to management regarding emergency response operating procedures and policies.
    • Makes contacts to exchange information, resolve problems, provide advice and guidance, and clarifies technical and policy issues.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
