    The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is Mar-Oct, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 11,2021.

    This positions are located at the Natchez Trace Parkway in the Mantee District. The primary function of Tractor Operators during the main season, from late spring to early fall, is to mow and maintain the roadsides along the Parkway and the access roads. During other times of the year, and as necessary during the main season, Tractor Operators perform general maintenance on the Parkway's infrastructure. This includes pavement maintenance such as crack sealing, patching holes, and pulling road shoulders as well as building maintenance including plumping, painting, roofing, rough carpentry, and minor electrical work. Tractor Operators also remove hazardous trees and limbs and serve as the primary equipment operators. Tractor Operators often work independently or in small groups away from administrative areas and therefore possess all necessary authority and autonomy to carry out normal duty assignments.
