- Provide expert technical advice and oversight in the development of new analytical methods for the Region;
- Serve as an interface with regional, Office of Research and development (ORD), and headquarters scientists to determine which pollutants of interest are most likely to emerge as regulated or contaminants of concern regional projects and national programs;
- Assess the quality of laboratory data and advise other managers and scientists in the use, quality assurance, and interpretation of data produced by recently developed and applied methods for measuring environmental contaminants.
