    Responsibilities of this position include working with a multidisciplinary team of technical experts from the private and public sector to develop communications systems, networking, computation, and engineered system capabilities to support measurement science research for smart cities and communities technologies in areas such as smart grid and intelligent transportation. Additional duties include expert technical guidance and contributions to support multi-disciplinary research into communications-enabled cyber-physical systems research and standards efforts, including testing and certification methods. In addition, this position requires program planning and management, including development of program and project proposals for annual budget requests, management of programs and projects to achieve results on schedule and within budget, and development of extensive partnerships with other divisions, laboratories, Federal and state agencies, and the private sector.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional U.S. and international travel to connect with smart city technology leaders.
