    The selectee serves as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in the Dental Service. Duties may also be performed in inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, call center, and ancillary support services

    • Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) at this level plan and direct programs at medical centers and/or satellite outpatient clinics and have full supervisory responsibility for supervising at least one Lead MSA. Assignments at this level include, but are not limited to:
      • assigning and evaluating the work of subordinate staff;
      • ensuring staff compliance with national and local policies and procedures, resolving complex problems and service recovery to ensure patient services are met;
      • evaluating new products, equipment, and systems in order to make recommendations for improved operations;
      • identifying educational or training needs;
      • participating in interviews and selections; and
      • evaluating performance, recommending awards, and taking corrective action when necessary.
    • The Supervisory MSA has full administrative and professional responsibility for planning, directing, and overseeing the MSA's day to day activities ensuring all aspects of duties are accomplished efficiently, timely, and correctly.
    • The Supervisory MSA is responsible for extracting and analyzing data to provide timely reports in support of performance measures, staffing justifications, and other needs to senior management as necessary.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am-3:00pm (Intermitted)
