In this position, you will provide national leadership and support for science, extension,and education programs and other cooperative activities in the food, agriculture, and natural resources disciplines.
- Maintains technical and disciplinary competence and keeps abreast of emerging topics, trends, and issues in the assigned field in order to identify mission-relevant programmatic responses.
- Mobilizes rapid response to immediate, short-term issues and opportunities; and anticipates, generates, and takes timely actions on long-term issues and opportunities that are compatible with the mission of NIFA.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of evaluation strategies and necessary responses for areas of responsibility.
- Provides national leadership and research, education, and extension support for programs in the assigned area of expertise and related services.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
