    As a Statistician in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Planning and Budget (OPB), Forecasting and Analysis Division, at the full performance level you will:

    • Assist senior analysts in designing and implementing fee restructuring programs.  Acts cooperatively in the execution of assigned segments of projects and makes tentative recommendations requiring technical judgment.  Collaborate to review, draft, and edit rulemaking items.
    • May assist project leaders and management to assume responsibility for the development of project planning, coordination of overall team efforts, and maintaining appropriate lines of communication.
    • Study limited aspects of the role of intellectual property rights in the domestic and global economy and performs fee collection and workload forecasting for specific functions.  Select and adapt quantitative methods, practices and theories to perform forecasting and analysis, interpret results, and document findings.
    • Develop limited financial models, perform workload analyses related to financial variables, identify major trends and fluctuations, analyze findings, evaluate statistical limitations of data, and specify the range of results to contribute to management planning, budgeting, and resource decisions.
    • Model revenue flows in current and future fiscal years based on planned USPTO operations and economic and other related conditions for input into agency resource and budget planning.
