About the Position:
You will serve as the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for the 25th Signal Battalion, Regional Network Operations Security Center (RNOSC).

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the establishment, implementation and oversight of the 25th Signal Battalion Cybersecurity Program for all Automated Information Systems (AIS) to include those under development.
- Functions on behalf of the Director or Site Manager as the point of contact for all aspects of cybersecurity and Local Area Network (LAN) security.
- Serves as the organization?s cybersecurity advisor concerning the LAN, and the electronic interfacing of other systems and networks.
- Serves on committees as automation and transmission security advisor, ensuring adherence to DoD, Department of Army (DA), United States Forces Afghanistan, Regional Cyber Center South West Asia and command policy relating to security of information.
- Provides advice and guidance regarding security aspects of processing, storage, retrieval, transmission, and access concerning classified and unclassified information.

- IT-I users are REQUIRED to obtain minimum commercial information assurance (IA) certifications and computing environment (CE) training certificates for the systems they are supporting as outlined in DoDI 8570.01-M/DoDD 8140.01.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a non-critical sensitive, Secret security clearance.
- You may be required to process through a deployment center located at either Camp Atterbury, Indiana or Fort Bliss, Texas for a Pre-deployment processing session which includes a 14-day quarantine and COVID-19 test.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the
work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as at least one year of experience that is typically in or related to the work of the
position to be filled such as: Providing advice and guidance regarding security aspects of processing, storage, retrieval, transmission, and access concerning classified and unclassified information; Conducting network scans, ensure IAVM compliance and periodic surveys to determine compliance with applicable regulations and policies; and conducting required cybersecurity reviews and audits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Specialized experience includes, or can be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
