Summary
Supports the Enterprise Command Center (ECC), working with customers to resolve change control/permission & configuration process management issues; monitoring impactful events and other service event management requirements, providing 24/7 coverage throughout the calendar year, subject to shift work, rotating shifts covering weekends & holidays supporting all VA personnel 24x7x365 and is positioned to be the initial single point of contact requesting IT services or reporting IT incidents.

This vacancy is open to current permanent employees of Station 103 only.
This is a bargaining unit position.

Work Schedule: 11:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. May be required to work Tour of Duty (shift) demands that are specific to this position within the 24/7/365 work center. Tour at discretion of supervisor.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary, but may involve intermediate periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, moving (up to 50 pounds) computer components and supplies, reaching, pulling, and working at a keyboard and monitor. This division provides 24/7 coverage throughout the calendar year. Incumbent is subject to shift work, rotating shifts and shifts covering weekends and/or holidays. Subject to call back outside tour of duty.
Major Duties:- Troubleshoot system hardware and software.
- Analyze incident data for emerging trends.
- Maintain incident tracking and solution database.
- Diagnose and resolve customer reported system incidents, problems, and events.
- Develop a trend analysis and impact report.

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
