    EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.

    In this position, you will work in the Office of Chief Information Officer, Operations organizing requests, creating accounts, generating reports, and responding to customer issues as needed. Typical assignments include: 

    • Providing complete support, from email, phone, incident ticketing system requests from customers or internal IT team members regarding the account creation processes.
    • Attending conference calls and meetings representing the team and management regarding account creation, troubleshooting, process development, etc.
    • Working closely with Identify, Credential, Access Management (ICAM) and FEMA Enterprise Identity Management System (FEIMS) to resolve difficult account issues.
    • Providing weekly reports to present to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for Secure Sockets Layer/ Virtual Private Network (SSL/VPN) access to FEMA Enterprise Network (FEN).

    The ideal candidate will possess exceptional multi-tasking & organizational skills, have experience in scripting (PowerShell), general computer knowledge, experience with Windows OS and pay diligent attention to detail. The candidate must be process oriented and will be required to develop and follow processes.

    Please note: The ideal candidate must be a team player and skilled communicator with all levels of management and IT personnel and willing to work overtime during weeks of heightened disaster activity.

    Promotion Potential: Positions filled under Stafford Act regulations generally do not have documented promotion potential; however, dependent on an employee’s ability to perform higher level duties, the continuing need for an employee to perform work associated with a higher level position, and administrative recommendation and approval, promotions may be earned by CORE employees.
