    EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.

    In this position, your typical assignments include: 

    • Providing technical assistance to staff that conducts management reviews involving assessments of very broad spectrum of issues Continuity Communication issues, resources, and program support requirement and how work processes interact to support NCP’s mission.
    • Providing advice and assistance to management on strategic initiatives and provides recommendations and analytical assessments supporting the efficient use of resources.
    • Managing or reviews highly technical and complex projects to collect, analyze, and present data on appropriate topics from a wide variety of traditional and nontraditional sources.
    • Coordinating with senior agency representatives and subordinate staff to evaluate the impact of policies, directives, and common practices on organizational or project effectiveness; serves as a technical authority in such matters, develops guidance for use by other parties.
