This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS EQUIPMENT REPAIR INSPECTOR, Position Description Number T5622000 and is part of the WY Combined Support Maintenance Shop, National Guard.
This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-Wyoming Army National Guard, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS). The purpose of the position is to inspect the repair and calibration of electronics and physical equipment to ensure operating characteristics are within acceptable standards and specifications; Uses a wide variety of inspection techniques to inspect and as needed repair and calibrate electronic and physical systems such as radio communications receivers, and transmitters (single band, UHF and VHF), mobile subscriber equipment (MSE), electronic fire control systems, and powered support systems; as well as the calibration of digital multi- meters, torque wrenches and micrometers. Conducts inspections, diagnoses nature and extent of equipment malfunction, and as required, performs required maintenance or calibration to restore to a serviceable condition various types of tactical computers, radio sets, and other combat support and combat maintenance support equipment. Uses various types of test equipment such as systems tests sets, frequency meters, standing wave indicators, oscillators, AN/GRM-122s, Fluke 5720s, and other electronic testing devices and calibration standards to inspect, repair, and calibrate equipment and components. Inspects equipment when received to determine repairs needed and parts required.
