The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an advanced Cyberspace Defense Security Analyst for Mission Defense Teams, responsible for developing system concepts and works on the capabilities phases of the system development life cycle; translates technology and environmental conditions (e.g., law and regulation) into system and security designs and processes.
- Prepares for, maintains currency for, and executes an advanced role in Cyberspace Weapon System Support. Applies IT cybersecurity principles, methods, and security products to protect and maintain information systems.
- Serves as Cyberspace Defense SME, Technical Advisor, and Program Manager for Defensive Cyberspace Operations. Provides cyberspace defense expertise supporting mission computing/networking systems' operational design and proposal review.
- Plans Cyber Operations, determines operational requirements, and manages cyber operations activities and resources. Collects data, reviews taskings, determines requirements, and performs detailed analysis to ensure subordinate unit combat readiness.
- Participates in studies, conducts trend analysis, and performs other work associated with maintaining maximum combat readiness of all cyber subordinate units. Keeps senior leadership advised at all times of problem areas with widespread impact.
Occasional travel - Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on a military or commercial aircraft.
