The Supervisory Program Specialist (Human Research Protection Program Administrator) serves as the primary institutional contact for human research protection and human research projects. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP), including general administration, planning, and oversight of all matters related to research involving human subjects.

Ensures that human studies projects are conducted in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Conducts program assessments and prepares event reports to local, state, and federal agencies to meet regulatory compliance.
Enforces the completion of a training and credentialing program to meet regulatory compliance.
Monitors and enforces regulatory compliance.
Conducts reviews of existing standard operating procedures and revises as necessary to incorporate changes to state and national Policies.
Establishes acceptable policies and procedures for board members and staff to conduct reviews of research projects.
Adjusts exiting processes to reflect changes to local and national policies and procedures.
Provides guidance and regulatory updates to staff seeking to conduct human studies research.
Receives, reviews, analyzes, and monitors an electronic project submissions and committee review program for content and procedural conformance.
Evaluates project submissions for errors and works with individual teams for corrective actions.
Provides guidance and training to new users of an electronic project submission system. Ensures training needs are met prior to initiating project.
Monitors and evaluates content of research studies for completeness and procedural conformance.
