This position is located at the Army Community Recreation Division at Victor Constant Ski Area.
In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.
Removes perishable foods from the freezer for daily activities.
Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned.
Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages.
May work on a mobile eating cart driving around to deliver food and drink to patrons.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Medical Examination is required.
Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Qualifications
Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to:
1. Ability to work without more than normal supervision.
2. Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order.
3. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques.
4. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
5. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles.
6. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
7. Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Must have skill and knowledge to perform tasks involving several procedures and be able to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions. A working knowledge of sanitation standards is required as well as knowledge of procedures to prevent contamination. Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have the ability to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Ability to apportion, weigh, and measure foods properly and to use electrical appliances, grills, stoves, ovens, and other common kitchen equipment and utensils. Ability to operate a cash register, run a snack bar and drive a food cart.

HIGHLY PREFERRED- In addition to the minimum qualifications above, a Highly Preferred candidate will meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages. (Projected appointment date; 14 -30 days after submission of application).
