    Summary

    This position is located under the Chief of Facilities Management Service, at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Department of Veterans Affairs.

    The incumbent will be the single point of contact for work order management, environment of care, and is responsible for tracking completion, compliance, and prioritization of these items within Facilities Management Services.

    Responsibilities

    Duties include: Consulting with customers on filling out work order requests, taking emergency calls over the phone, locating maintenance, communicating status and helping maintenance staff document work accomplished.

    Provides for full administration of reporting and tracking of all accreditation related items within Facilities Management Service. This includes tracking all Joint Commission Plan for Improvement elements, and also supports the Environment of Care Management Program by opening work orders and tracking work to be completed.

    Works closely with engineering supervisors and fiscal personnel to close out and follow up on purchase orders past their end dates. Assists with the annual budget for Utility cost. Incumbent will also use IFACP procurement procurement system for order processing which includes preparing 2237s for contract items and miscellaneous equipment.
