    This position is located in The Smithsonian Institution (SI) Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage (CFCH).  The employee overseeing the daily operations of the archive and overseeing contractors, temporary staff, interns, and volunteers; developing, implementing, updating and refining operational and strategic plans, policies.

    Responsible for overseeing and performing the processing of archival collections, and preparation for digitization. This includes, as needed, organization, arrangement, description (finding aids and inventories), and preservation, and the tracking of these activities.

    Provides project management for the Rinzler Folklife Archives, including preparation of annual archives budget in consultation with staff.

    Responsible for writing and submission of grant proposals for funding collections projects.

    Responsible for overseeing records management functions in the Rinzler Folklife Archives and in CFCH as a whole, working with staff in Smithsonian Archives.

    Oversees and coordinates data entry and revisions in the collections information systems used by the Rinzler Folklife Archives (SIRIS, DAMS, Archivists Toolkit).
