    Serves as the Supervisor of a Technical Operations System Support Center (SSC).

    Due to the Pandemic, and individual states with different phases of reopening, the selectee’s report date to the official duty station/facility may be delayed until such time as employees are allowed to report to the workplace. The person selected may telework up to the maximum extent possible, up to and including full time, until it is safe to relocate.

    Serves as the Supervisor of a Technical Operations System Support Center (SSC) by planning and communicating the organization's vision and objectives, setting priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating performance, developing employees, approving leave, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions as appropriate. Plans and organizes assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives for more than one organizational unit/project/program. Applies an advance knowledge of the technical aspects of directed work assignments, an advanced knowledge of budget, human resources, and other administrative policies and procedures. Has responsibility for administrative and technical direction of the assigned staff consisting of specialists, technicians and other FAA support staff involved in providing services to Air Traffic commercial airlines and general aviation aircraft. Responsible to resolve all but unique problems without the intervention of higher-level management. Identifies problem areas and develops and recommends new policies and procedures for resolution.
