    All deployment tours are limited to a maximum length of 2 years total.

    • Assigned as Resident Engineer or Chief of a significant Resident Office, responsible for the administration and management of construction work assigned.
    • Responsible for the technical checks to obtain compliance with plans and specifications and to ensure that construction work is accomplished as economically and timely as possible
    • Negotiates with contractors concerning changes in construction, difficult engineering and construction problems, and makes the more difficult decisions in controversies between contractors and the Government.
    • Makes periodic inspection visits on construction site to determine progress of contractor operations.
