    Summary

    This position, located in the Court's Office of Information Systems, reports to the Deputy Clerk, Chief Information Officer and provides assistance with the support and maintenance of the Court's case management system (DAWSON).

    Responsibilities

    Software Development

    • Support the development and implementation of the Court's case management system (DAWSON). This includes:
      • Maintaining the Court's code repositories.
      • Using the tools and languages within the Court's DevSecOps pipeline for DAWSON such as CircleCI, GitHub, Slack, Terraform, Javascript.
      • Participating in software and hardware evaluation and assessment.
    • Assist with the planning and implementation of software related cyber security.
    • Review vendor-produced code to ensure that it is tested and secure.
    Customer Service
    • Provide information, assistance, and helpdesk support to internal and external DAWSON users.
    Administrative Activities
    • Support and train users in developed applications through documentation and hands-on sessions.
    • Author software documentation to establish and explain product functionality.
    • Support installing, documenting, establishing administrative procedures for the Court's software.
    Work at the higher grades: This position provides a progressive career ladder with full- performance level to the GS-11. In order to progress through the career ladder, an employee must work at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade, must be performing their current position at a fully-successful level, and must show evidence of performing duties at the next higher grade level. Promotion consideration is subject to the supervisor's discretion.
