This is a Excepted Service position in the Minnesota National Guard.
An Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic, WG-2602-12, Installs, tests, repairs, overhauls, fabricates or modifies, calibrates, troubleshoots and certifies highly complex electronic systems components or subassemblies. Performs functional tests to locate equipment malfunctions in accordance with accepted trade practices. Diagnoses malfunctions of systems by analyzing system performance and completes repairs as necessary. Uses Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) ensure operational accuracy by performing complex laboratory and/or on-site calibrations and repairs of electronic systems. Uses tools and equipment such as: wire strippers, drills, files, soldering irons, and micro-soldering units to remove and replace parts. Maintains records, documents actions, and completes certification paperwork as required in the maintenance data collection system. Follows established safety guidelines, identifies any observed unsafe practices, and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Performs clean-up duties such as: cleaning equipment, sweeping, and returning equipment to assigned locations. Performs other duties as assigned.
