    Intensive Care Nurse constantly monitors and evaluates patients with highly unstable conditions. Assessing patient's condition, able to respond in emergencies and intervene with immediate attention. Provides emotional support to critically ill patients and their families. Responsible for managing various life-support systems including ventilation, heart monitoring, identify changes in patient's condition and react accordingly. Demonstrate outstanding empathy and communication skills.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for closely observing patients, noting specific procedures and prescribed medication for each case.
    • Assisting doctors in providing physical assessments and administering treatments
    • Monitoring vital signs and ensuring the proper functions of feeding tubes, ventilators, catheters and other life support equipment
    • Work efficiently with other practical nurses and nursing assistants in the ICU ward and be able to provide clear directions and guidance for procedures and routines
    • Provide support and education to the patient's family, answering questions and giving vital instructions on how to care for the patient
    • Contribute as members of an interdisciplinary health care team and as consultants on health related committees to plan and implement the health care needs of consumers.
    • Identify, through case-finding and critical analysis, a patient's, family's, or community's deviation from health and wellbeing and advocate for, initiate and recommend appropriate actions including the establishment of safe environments.
    • Manage and deliver restorative or palliative care to the ill, disabled and dying.

    Work Schedule: 7:00pm to 7:30am including weekends and holidays
