    The incumbent serves as a visual information specialist who supports public outreach through multi-media projects. Work includes supporting program plans developed by program supervisors for the visual aspects of such visual materials as photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphs, objects models, slides, and charts used in books, magazines, pamphlets, exhibits, live or video recorded speeches or lectures an other means of communication.

    The incumbent assists in the development of a range of visual interpretive products for Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument. Works closely with each park's Interpretive division supervisors to create a range of traditional and digital media products, including: interpretive waysides, orientation exhibits, site bulletins, park newspapers, short interpretive or educational videos, digital photographs, and original art and graphic illustrations. Contributes to each park's social media presence by creating and posting content on various platforms. Assists with park website content development, review, and editing.
    Applies graphic design principles to develop layout and presentation for all products. Conducts research of historical, cultural, and scientific materials to develop interpretive products. Writes and edits original interpretive text to accompany images and illustrations. Performs all phases of production for interpretive/educational videos. Ensures all digital and traditional products meet NPS standards for accessibility.
