    Responsibilities

    The Prescott Arizona VA Health Care System is actively seeking a well-qualified physician with innovative leadership skills and good interpersonal skills to join our staff as full-time Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), an executive level position. In addition to excellent leadership skills, the ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and proficient with VA Performance Measures and the principles of System Redesign, demonstrate advanced leadership qualities, as well as strong strategic planning skills, dedication to patient-centered care, and a commitment to organizational stewardship.

    Highly qualified candidates are required to lead, give direction, provide knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of executive leadership, and lead professional staff in the clinical domain: Demonstrate significant and progressive leadership, mentorship, and management experience in a tertiary care environment; Demonstrate strong health care operations and planning experience including implementation and promotion of outpatient clinical access and hospital flow; Ability to promote innovation, inspire organizational excellence, be able to build teams, coach clinical leaders, and engage the workforce; Demonstrates knowledge of VHA and other accrediting bodies' standards and regulations; Ability to provide and model strong ethical character and professional conduct.

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (May be required to work evenings or weekends as a 24/7 Full-time Physician).
