The incumbent determines, defines and deploys proactive/predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet agency objectives. Defines algorithms, validates and deploys models to achieve system oversight results. Performs necessary data preparation and enhancements to models. Determines data analysis goals given Branch/Division objectives. Determines decision support needs, data requirements and performance metrics to support analysis.
Responsible for designing information models (e.g., taxonomy and relationships), dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that meet Branch/Division objectives. Combines programming, SQL skills, best practices and expertise to deliver efficient and scalable intelligence solutions to improve productivity and overall outcomes. Evaluates and makes recommendation to refine goals, objectives, decision support needs, data, and performance requirements to meet project level objectives.
Communicates, advises and collaborates with agency lines of business and service offices. Supports Branch and Division level teams to deliver decision support visualizations and reports, algorithms, models, dashboards and/or tools. Investigates challenging data characteristics, complexity, quality and meaning. Through visualizations and summarizations, defines performance, identifies trends, outlier and drivers.
Prepares complex data for analysis, e.g. cleansing, conditioning, transforming., handling missing fields, identifying new feature variables and handling multi-variate data. Performs moderate to complex transformation of metadata for use. Organizes data for analysis., and participates in determination of stakeholder needs and ensures the analytic value is realized. Recommends information delivery options and methodologies. Establishes best practices and guidelines. Utilizes programming and database queries to implement scalable and efficient query models. Iteratively executes intelligence models and development. Performs analysis to identify and understand an issue or event. Investigates evident issues through drill-down exploration and descriptive statistics. Supports means of production and deployment (i.e. upgrades, testing, etc.). Delivers decision support visualizations and reports, dashboards and/or metrics.
Troubleshoots and resolves quality and performance issues, Evaluates, validates and refines moderate to complex intelligence solutions to meet agency objectives. Applies data to improve productivity through automation and standardization.
The incumbent may perform additional duties for the aviation safety mission as assigned.
