    About the Position: Serves as the Operations Research Analyst for the United States (US) Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), US Army Garrison (USAG) Ft. Belvoir. Participates with high level decision-makers in defining and establishing the war gaming methodology required to address operational and logistical initiatives or problem areas faced by the Army staff or major subordinate commands that are critical to the execution of their missions.

    • Familiar with Quadrennial Defense Review issues and Army position and approach to address them.
    • Articulates alternative programs, policies, and approaches and implements analytic methodology to evaluate them.
    • Advises high-level managers and senior leaders regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches.
    • Analyzes feasibility of advanced approaches or radically different proposed policies. Assesses performance and effectiveness of new or substantially modified force concepts.
    • Evaluates impacts of new doctrine and force structures on current and future force plans and policies.
    • Generates ideas for new programs, policies, studies, and approaches. Redefines or further defines major and critical problems to fit study requirements.
    • Performs studies of issues arising in such subjects as logistics; chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) materials.
    • Performs studies of issues arising in such subjects as efficient resource utilization; campaign analysis; mobilization and deployment scenarios; and system acquisition and support.
    • Coordinates study plans, methods, and findings with different command, component, and DOD elements.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel 25% for this position.
