    This position is located in the Occupational Therapy section of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the VA Healthcare System, Lexington, KY. The Lead Occupational Therapist (OT) provide professional guidance and consultation or OT practitioners. They monitor and evaluate clinically appropriate treatment programs with great autonomy.

    Responsibilities

    The Lead Occupational Therapist has knowledge of contemporary occupational therapy across multiple areas of practice, having the ability to apply advance occupational therapy knowledge to provide clinical guidance and mentorship to OT practitioners. The Lead Occupational Therapist also has the ability to independently monitor and evaluate clinically appropriate treatment programs and acts as a liaison between OT practitioners and the supervisor by coordinating clinical activities, program development, outcome management, and strategic planning. The Lead Occupational Therapist has the ability to assess, prioritize and address interpersonal or programmatic conflicts at the lowest possible level. He/She also has the ability to implement, revise, and update evidence based protocols, procedures and competencies for occupational therapy services.

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
