    You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist (CYBER) and be responsible for planning, implementing and operating network services/systems to include hardware and virtual environments.

    Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: 

    • Planning, implementing, and operating network services/systems.
    • Monitoring network capacity and performance.
    • Using sources of technical data to evaluate, define, coordinate, plan and satisfy user requirements for telecommunications equipment, systems, services.
    • Developing and implementing local policy and instructions.
    • Resolving issues involving conflicting telecommunications requirements. 

    The salary posted in the Salary section of the announcement is the base salary with no locality for the GS-11 and GS-12 grade levels. Your salary will be set in accordance with the applicable locality pay table for the following locations:

    Cleveland, OH - GS-11: $66,697-$86,705        GS-12: $79,943-$103,931

    Honolulu, HI - GS-11: $ 66,002-$85,801         GS-12: $79,109-$102,847

    Juneau, AK - GS-11: $71,583-$93,056            GS-12: $85,799-$111,543

    Miami, FL - GS-11: $68,182-$88,636               GS-12: $81,723-$106,245

    Norfolk, VA - GS-11: $64,318-$83,612            GS-12: $77,091-$100,223
