Position supports the south Idaho NPS units (Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve (CRMO), Hagermann Fossil Beds National Monument (HAFO), Minidoka Internment National Monument (MIIN) as well as provides various services for fees to City of Rocks National Reserve (CIRO) and the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park - Seattle Unit area parks (Klondike, Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial, Wing Luke, REI).
MAJOR DUTIES:
Oversees the division of Administration and Business Services which provides business services to Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve (CRMO), Hagermann Fossil Beds National Monument (HAFO), Minidoka Internment National Monument (MIIN), Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial (BAIS), and Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park - Seattle Unit (KLSE) with some support of City of Rocks National Reserve (CIRO).
Develops and implements strategies and administrative approaches to ensure quality visitor services and programs consistent with the purposes of the NPS and protection of the park environment.
Supervision of a staff of specialists and other professionals with expertise in various fields which support the diverse administrative aspects relating to the parks varied administrative and business services activities in support of the four park operations.
Negotiates with park and regional financial managers, municipalities, state and federal agencies and nonprofit/friends groups to establish sustainable park financial strategy.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level of this announcement.
