This position is located in the Emergency Department of the Pine Ridge Service Unit. The purpose of this position is to provide direct and comprehensive emergency / urgent assessment and care along with routine primary, preventative and therapeutic medical care to individuals across the spectrum of Emergency Department patients ranging from neonatal through elderly adult.Learn more about this agency
- Assesses, plans and provides comprehensive and therapeutic medical care to individual geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients and their families.
- Makes diagnosis and decisions concerning medical and nursing care needs of patients, formulates and implements plan of care which may involve various treatment modalities, prescribing medications, consultation with other health care providers, and referrals.
- Prescribes medications as delineated in the approved clinical privileges for symptoms and illnesses. Monitors effectiveness of medications, adjusting dosages as appropriate to patient response to Medications.
- Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities, including audits, chart reviews, development of review criteria, development of plans for improving performance and evaluation of effectiveness of actions in improving performance.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
