    Summary

    The Specialty Clinic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides high-quality, evidence-based care for Veteran patients who are being seen in the Specialty Clinics. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager, the LVN is responsible for providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients. She/he will have the knowledge, skills, and experience to carry out assignments involving data gathering, treatments and assisting with patient/family education.

    Responsibilities

    The incumbent identifies significant changes in condition, both physical and emotional, which have relevance to health status, and reports change of condition in a timely manner to the general supervision of the RN or MD/DO; Recognizes common signs and symptoms of dysrhythmias, and gather and record data of the Specialty Clinic patients; Effectively implements basic nursing care and disease prevention, prepares oxygen and performs 12-Lead ECG as necessary; Uses sufficient knowledge and skills to prepare, administer and appropriately document actions taken specific to commonly prescribed medication for Specialty Clinics.

    · Endocrinology
    · Neurology
    · Pulmonary
    · Infections Disease

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
