Duties require incumbent to maintain currency on a variety of different security program interrelationships, requirements, regulations and guidance in order to apply this knowledge to protect SCI facilities and materials from espionage, sabotage, and destruction.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information
(TS/SCI) security clearance. Conditions of Employment: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep
1996) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of
a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission
essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the unit is closed or delayed
reporting, and remain on duty during phased or early release.
4. May be required to work uncommon tours of duty on short notice.
5. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
assignments.
6. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, an appropriate valid
driver's license is mandatory.
7. May be required to wear special protective clothing such as coats, boots, vests, gas
masks, and/or helmets and may be exposed to high levels of noise such as aircraft
engines.
8. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and
customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful
accomplishment of the mission.

GS-11 - 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or 1 year equivalent to at least GS-9 (2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree) or LL.M., if related to the position you are filling.
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree equates to the Specialized Experience to qualify for the GS-11.
