    These announcements are for deployment tours varying length with 6 months, 9 months or 1 year being the most often used when under a Temporary Appointment.

    All deployment tours are limited to a maximum length of 2 years total.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify mission requirements, and organize and direct the workforce to successfully execute identified mission objectives.
    • Responsible for the coordination of activities between the Corps of Engineers and the various offices and agencies within various overseas locations.
    • Work is accomplished through field inspections, conferences, and observation of progress for results achieved.
    • Coordinates with various elements, to obtain requested planning, design, and construction management assistance, including the scheduling and development of budgets for that assistance.
    • Assists with the development of schedules, budgets, and program mission goals.

    • Principal advisor to the Commander/Deputy Commander/Deputy District Engineer, and operating staff on all matters within his jurisdiction, and makes recommendations and decisions on a wide variety complex problems.
