As a Visual Information Specialist, you will:
Education Requirements: Undergraduate and/ or Graduate Education: Major study -- commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the education requirement, a qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience involving project planning and executing the design and art work for many types of visual products such as banners, books, brochures, covers, exhibits, flyers, forms, illustrations, newsletters, posters and signs, in order to present information or ideas.

A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

The Mission of the Office of Management is to provide the Department of Energy with centralized direction and oversight for the full range of management, procurement and administrative services. The Office of Management provides many of the services that keep the Department of Energy Headquarters offices operational. These services keep the Department's facilities operating, as well as many of the managerial support functions that are shared by many of the Program Offices. The Office of Administration is a service organization that is dedicated to achieving customer satisfaction.
