    The primary purpose of this position is to carry out Protocol Headquarters Air Force (HAF) responsibility for the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

    Responsibilities

    • Plans, organizes, manages, administers and executes protocol activities of the SecAF, USecAF, CSAF, CSO, CV, DS, CMSAF, and SEL to the CSO.
    • Develops and implements protocol policy and procedural guidance for the Air Force.
    • Responsible for the oversight of effective and accurate expenditure of Official Representation Funds (ORF), Special Morale and Welfare Funds (SM and W) and Operations and Maintenance (O and M) funds.
    • Plans, arranges, and coordinates a variety of details associated with SecAF and CSAF hosted conferences.
    • Develops, updates and instructs core curriculum blocs of the AF-level Protocol Fundamentals Course and provides other protocol training programs as required.
    • Serves as the Air Force liaison for protocol matters with other agencies to include the White House, Congress, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the other Military Services.
