Serves as a key support person for the National Film Preservation Board and the National Recording Preservation Board, reporting directly to the Board Liaison who, in turn, reports directly to the Director of the National Audio-visual Conservation Center. Attends meetings for the principal, exercising some commitment authority. Oversees the logistics of all meetings, including coordination of travel and lodging of Board members and other guests and works closely with the Library's Special Events and Public Affairs offices to ensure that all details of planned meetings, symposia or events are efficiently and effectively carried out. As assigned and when appropriate acts on behalf of the Board Liaison.
Performs routine and non-complex tasks to assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with various stakeholders in the government, private industry, and universities. Assists in developing and implementing plans for disseminating routine information about the two congressionally-mandated preservation boards.
Assists in making arrangements for special events using established approaches. Works in cooperation with both The Library of Congress staff and outside groups to plan and review event details, operational guidelines, budgets, or information related to guest lists and event participants.
